How to set up Authentication for Outlook Express.

  1. Open Outlook express
  2. Click onto tools across the top
  3. Click on to Accounts       
  4. Click onto the Mail Tab
  5. Double click the mail entry
  6. Click onto the servers tab
  7. Check mark the bottom box that says “my server requires Authentication”
  8. Click on the advanced Tab
  9. Change the number 25 to 587 
 

How to set up Authentication for Windows Live Mail.

  1. Open Windows Live mail
  2. On the left of the screen above where it says “inbox” you should see something that will say Ainop with your username right next to it.  Right click there and click on the “properties” option
  3. Click on the servers tab  
  4. Under username, type in your full email address
  5. Check mark the bottom box that says “my server requires Authentication”
  6. Click on the advanced Tab
  7. Change the number 25 to 587
  8. Click on apply and then OK at  the bottom.
  9. You should now be all set.
